WTF is this bawdytalk bullshit?

Happy to answer your (kind of rude) question, hypothetical reader! bawdytalk is a weird corner of the internet where talking about vaginas, bodily fluids, and poop is just as normal as asking about the weather.

We’re opening up a Pandora’s box of oversharing, never reading the room, and always leaving them wanting less.

And how is this at all appealing?

Because bodies (and the weird shit that happens with them) are natural. When we live in the world of “that’s TMI, Sarah” and “do you always have to talk about your poop?,” we can end up feeling like there’s something wrong with what we’re thinking or experiencing. Bodies are magical and gross and weird and beautiful all at the same time. Why shouldn’t we open up, ask questions, and learn about all of it — even the less sunshine-and-flower-y stuff?

You do realize you spelled “body” wrong, right?

Aha! That, my friends, is what we call wordplay. You see, “bawdy” means “dealing with sexual matters in a comical way.” My goal with bawdytalk is to not take any of this stuff too seriously. The world is dark and humorless enough — and there’s no reason education can’t be a little, dare I say, fun. Let’s talk about weird stuff and not be weird about it, okay?

If any of this sounds even r e m o t e l y interesting to you, throw a subscribe my way and see if you like it! This newsletter is very much in its nascent stage and I will be (is it okay if I throw in an aviation metaphor? TY) building the plane as I fly. FLY WITH ME.
